I always remember
The vibrancy about him,
The sound of deep laughter,
How he loved with no whim.

He was bigger than life,
Respected by all he knew.
Four children and a wife,
He had grandchildren too.

Then he was diagnosed,
With the disease ALS.
After five years almost,
Free, he was laid to rest.

His legacy survives,
It will never die away.
For he changed many lives,
Even until this day.
